You may have noticed that we do not stock water in plastic bottles any more. Actually, for several months. The impetus behind this is to reduce peoples’ reliance on disposable water and minimize waste.
C’mon, people. It’s water. That stuff that is bottled up came from a tap somewhere.
Salem is known for having some of the best tap water in the West (2006) so seems a waste of money but also a waste of material for bottled water. We at Venti’s are making an attempt to minimize this waste by encouraging our customers to drink tap water. We are now selling customized Venti’s water bottles for an introductory price of just $4 (that’s approximately the cost of 3.33 bottled waters). Buy it once, fill it for a lifetime.
Our bottles are made from biodegradable materials and made and printed in USA.
See this article on bottled water for surprising info. Spend a few minutes poking around the internet for more reasons to stay away from plastic bottles. There is an effort locally to kick the water bottle habit, too. Other businesses support this. You as an individual can make that choice. Visit Think Outside the Bottle for more info.
